This is Dingtao, Heze, Shandong, the exploration site of an imperial-level tomb. It has been confirmed that this is the tomb of Empress Dowager Ding, the biological mother of Emperor Liu Xin of the Han Dynasty. The burial system is "Huangchang Ticou", which is the highest-level imperial burial system in the Han Dynasty. It is known in the archaeological community as the only physical specimen for studying the imperial tombs of the Western Han Dynasty.

The so-called "Huang Chang Ti Cou" is a special burial system in ancient imperial tombs, where cypress wood with a yellow core is used to line the outside of the coffin, hence the term "Huang Chang"; the wood all faces inward, hence the term "Ti Cou". Like the "Jin Lu Yu Yi", "Huang Chang Ti Cou" was once the highest representation of status and rank in ancient Chinese tombs.

After enduring more than 2,000 years of trials and tribulations, the main structure of the tomb remained largely stable during excavation. The wooden components of the burial chamber were all connected by mortise-and-tenon joints, with exquisite masonry. The planar layout was designed to be solemn and elegant, and the scale and proportion were harmoniously and steadily designed.

These are the Han Dynasty text pottery bricks surrounding the tomb chamber, totaling over 30,000 pieces. They were all fired at a high temperature of over 1000 degrees by craftsmen more than 2000 years ago. Whoever was responsible would write their name on the brick. It is unexpected that craftsmen from over 2000 years ago also left their names in this imperial-level tomb through these bricks. For example, the person responsible for this brick even left their seal on it, which translates to "earning a fortune daily".

The yellow-wood is of high value, and "yellow-wood coffin" is as prestigious as "jade burial suit" in ancient Chinese tombs, representing the highest status. The entire archaeological site is filled with the unique fragrance of yellow-wood, which has remained unchanged for thousands of years. I can smell the scent from over 2000 years ago.

When the tomb was excavated, the main structure remained largely stable. Thanks to the intricate tenon-and-mortise structure, the wood appears smooth and flat, with not a single gap. It is clearly marked with information such as who gave the order, who made it, what size it is, what number it has, where it is placed, and even the size of the holes created by the tenon-and-mortise structure, all with precise annotations.
